WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES

Auntie Erin and Owen
This picture was taken in the hospital where Owen was born. He is with his Auntie Erin, who came from work to spell off Kristin's husband, Mark during labour. He is less than 24 hours old here.

Before he was even born, Mark told Mrs. Moose and I how amazing it was that you could love someone so much when you hadn't even met them. He has already stolen everyone's heart.

Auntie Erin and Owen Sharing a Pickled Bean
This was at his birthday party that we had yesterday. As you can see the boy will eat anything from baby food to Thai food. Loves hot and spicy. We have only found one thing he doesn't like. Lettuce for some reason. He also likes onions and peppers.

First Ever Bite of Cake
Kristin made him his own little cake for his birthday. This is the first time he has ever had cake and as you can see he started at the bottom first.

Owen and Alphonsedamoose
He certainly enjoyed the cake and is letting me know. He sure can melt this old fart with his smile.

Yes, that smile provokes a lot of endearment! I wonder, has he tried dill pickles? I once put a fresh sliced lemon on my young son's plate and boy did he squint and pucker spitting that out. We all laughed so hard. Looks like your little guy has all the photographers lined up. Way to go!

Bonita: He likes lemon in his water. I don't know if he has tried pickles or not. Mrs. Moose may have to answer that one.

lin: yeah, me too. he uses it to flirt with all the ladies. That's my moose

Oh yes the Mini Moose is a real flirt !! He charms them with his onion breath ! LOL Owen loves to suck on lemons and limes, eats pickles and olives, ( Kalamata are his favorite, though he'll pig out on any kind)

His grandfather spoils him rotten , but in spite of that he is really a lovely little boy.In certain lights we see the red hair of his Scottish heritage which one knows is a harbinger of a TEMPER. You know the temper of a red headed Moose from northern Ontario.

It's amazing what babies will eat. Wait till he starts crawling around the house. One second you'll see a dead fly and the next second it's gone.

He is a good eater. He is walking around the house now , getting into everything until he is told no

I want pictures of the fly-eating sessions....

alphonsedamoose said...

Ticblog: Have no pictures of the fly -eating. The dogs get them first.

Looks like he's trying to eat Erin's lip in that shot. Smart kid?
He is certainly one photogenic baby.
Oh, I meant to ask: Are you kind of proud of him? >)~..*(<

Cat: Extremely smart. We keep forgetting he is only a year. Proud of him? May be a little bit. LOL
He does take a good picture doesn't he? But then again I may be a tad prejudice.

Oh, gee, moose, forgot to tell you. I just finished a new post. You really should read it.

Moose you look like my neighbour down the hall. Do you have a secret double life?

Oh, belated Happy Birthday little Owen. The littlest Moose has all the bigger Mooses twisted around his little finger...as it should be.

Babzy: I can't tell you. It's a secret/
